It is good to know each other by our name, favorites, likes, dislikes, etc. As we gather every week, it will be more exciting as we also get to know God in His character, words of promises, commands and instructions. Today, we seek to know and adore Him through singing spiritual songs.

I CHRONICLES 4:9-10  

Open Sharing:
  1. One at a time can we introduce ourselves by our full name. And if you know the meaning of your name or why did your parents give you that name, please feel to share it (Avoid long explanations). Acknowledge and appreciate each one by his or her name. Excite everyone to get to know our featured Bible character for today who has a very unique name yet who received a wonderful blessing. Let's take a look at his story:
  2. Read the text: I CHRONICLES 4:9-10
  3. Who is the main character in the story?
  4. What is the meaning of his name? And why was he given such name?
  5. While Jabez was growing up and he learned about the meaning of his name, did he feel at peace? What did he do to break with the stigma of "pain" in his name?
  6. What was Jabez' posture when he prayed to God?
  7. What was he crying for to God in prayer?
  8. How did God answer Jabez?
  9. What can you imagine about how the life of Jabez had become after God answered his prayer?
  10. 10. "God granted his request". At what aspect in your life today you want God to grant your request? (Let each one share their thoughts).

Ministry Time:
  1. God is powerful. He is able to grant our requests.
  2. But more than the requests Jabez asked, He first CALLED ON GOD! Jabez found his refuge and strength in God alone. Could this be the first thing we need to have today, A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH THE BLESSOR?

Ask the people, for anyone who wants to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Have the Blessor, Jesus, reside in their hearts. (Lead them for the Prayer of Acceptance).

Now, release the blessings of the Lord to each one with their prayer requests, believing that God is able to grant our requests.

This week, we begin with the first letter of the word, B.L.E.S.S. "B" for Begin with Prayer. As we are now blessed in Jesus, may  we become a blessing too, to at least three people whom we can pray every day for their salvation. Also, to invite our contacts of three people each to our next Life Group meeting and  worship. Have some moment to plan on this.

Imagine the blessed life they only could have in Jesus?!

(Give them time to think of three people. After a while, ask them to share the names by writing it down at the paper so you can always pray for them)
