CROSSWorld Lifegroup

What is a Life Group?
As the name implies, it is a place, time and an experience where we could celebrate the Giver of Life, the Gift of Life and the Goals to Life with at least three other people.

Why Life Groups?
  1. Learning - We can best learn and obey God's Word in groups. Growing together in His promises, commands, instructions and revelations.
  2. Intercession - The group help bridge the gap between God and man in prayer, care, guidance and support to build and nurture ones relationship towards God and people.
  3. Friendship - Life Group is the best place to bring outsiders to connect with others and the Lord. People need help connecting with others in a healthy spiritual and social environment.
  4. Empowerment - People are empowered to serve others and God. People need a place to discover life's purpose and unleash it as how God intends to be.

How to Start a Life Group?
  1. Start with God's Words of promises, instructions, commands and warnings as you begin to lead.
  2. Seek the counsel of a Zone Mentor or District Mentor to pray for you, guide and lead you.
  3. Pray for people to lead. Start with your prayer of three. Know them by their names, needs, interests, etc.
  4. Consecrate a day, time and place in a week to B.L.E.S.S. (Begin with Prayer, Listen to a Friend, Eat with a Friend, Serve a Friend and Share Your Story) your friends or contacts as your prayer of three.

How To Lead A Life Group Meeting?
Just simply observe this guideline:

Welcome (5-10 minutes) - Getting acquainted with man to man through games, ice breakers or fun activities.
Worship (10-15 minutes) - Guiding man to God. We sing spiritual songs to in-tune our hearts and spirit to God's presence.
Word (20-25 minutes) - Growing thoughts from God. We allow God to speak to man through His words.
Works (15-20 minutes) - Going out with an action plan to B.L.E.S.S. others, outside of our group.

Total  time needed to lead and facilitate a life group: 50 – 70 minutes.

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:
Build your B.L.E.S.S. Team
  1. The Leader - Who takes the lead in facilitating the weekly meetings with its agenda, planning the preparation before the life group meetings, and lead the team and each member for follow up goals.
  2. The Logistics Person - He or she keeps the records of attendance on a weekly basis, updates the names and other information of the guests, updates the prayer of three of each member, writes or records significant development in the Life Group (keeps a journal of your group with photos, testimonies and milestones of everyone in faith and obedience to God).
  3. The Host - He or she could be the house or company owner, teacher, any contact person who can open his or her place as the meeting point for your Life Group. (Snacks and food provision must be arranged by the leader, do not put the burden of food preparation to the host or to one particular person. Sharing or chipping in is still one best practice to produce snacks).
