- Commit to reading one chapter of Psalms every day and noting down God's message and how it applies in his life.

THE MAGIC WAND

Almost everyone has something that he wants to change in his situation. Unfortunately, there is no magic wand that can do this leaving people with a sense of helplessness. But God can work to change our future - He offers us hope.
Instructions
- Use any stick to represent a magic wand.
- Tell the participants to imagine that the wand has the power to change their current situation.
- When a person is holding the wand, he can name three (3) things that they would like to change in their situation. No explanations are needed.
- The wand is passed from one person to another until everyone has had his turn.

BY TAKING JESUS AT HIS WORD the official received healing for his son. This is our hope - Jesus' declaration of our deliverance, healing and freedom. Praise God because we have the Bible - His written words that give us revelation of life. I challenge you to read the Word of God daily Let's try one chapter a day. Start with the Book of Psalms 1 to 7 for this week and begin to write two (2) things:
Prayer
Lead everyone in prayer of commitment to take Jesus at His words; to receive hope for every need they may have now. Pray for healing, deliverance and revival in everyone's heart and also for their homes.

- Who are the characters in the story?
- Describe the attitude of the official. How did he ask Jesus to heal his son?
- What did the official do to receive answer to his request? (See verse 50)
- Did the boy get healed? When?
- How was the whole household affected when the official's son was healed?
Personal Application
- Do you have needs today?
- Have you tried bringing your needs to Jesus?
- Are you willing to believe that Jesus will keep His promise to you?
- Jesus is saying to you - "You will receive life!" Will you take Jesus' word for your children, entire family - "They will live."
- What will happen when the father's faith is multiplied in his whole household?

- Plan together how everyone in the group can invite more next meeting. Write the names of the invitees.
- Excite them for the next meeting; same place, same time with new people to be added to the group.
- Bring them to church on Sunday.
- Begin to excite them about the Pre-Encounter Party and the Encounter Weekend. Give them the dates.
- Have fellowship. Have simple snacks to serve. Bless the people. Do not go over time.
